Krishna Kids Carnival 26 at Basil Woods Juniors – Chembur – A Celebration of Culture, Devotion & Childhood Joy
This Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Hare Krishna Movement Mumbai and Basil Woods Juniors, Chembur invite children and families to experience the joy, colours and traditions of Sri Krishna’s childhood at the Krishna Kids Carnival, on 29th and 30th August 2026. Designed as a joyful, hands-on cultural experience, the carnival brings together traditional activities, storytelling, games, creative experiences and devotional moments—giving children an opportunity to learn about Krishna’s pastimes while creating beautiful memories with their parents and friends. Basil Woods Juniors’ approach combines joyful learning with Indian cultural values and character development, making the carnival an extension of this philosophy.
What can children experience at the Krishna Kids Carnival?
Jhulan Seva – Celebrate Krishna’s childhood by gently decorating and offering seva to the beautifully adorned Jhulan, creating a joyful devotional experience for children.
Gau Seva – Introduce children to the timeless Indian tradition of caring for and respectfully serving cows through a warm, hands-on experience.
Matka Phod – Bring alive the playful spirit of Bal Krishna with an exciting and child-friendly Matka Phod activity filled with fun and laughter.
Pottery – Let little hands explore clay, creativity and traditional Indian craftsmanship by making their own pottery creations.
Mehendi – Add a festive touch with beautiful mehendi designs inspired by Indian traditions and celebrations.
Dress Up Like Gopa/Gopi – Let children step into the world of Vrindavan by dressing up as little Gopas and Gopis and experiencing Krishna’s playful world.
Katputli Show – Enjoy colourful traditional puppetry that brings stories, characters and timeless Indian culture alive for young audiences.
Story Telling – Discover enchanting stories from Krishna’s childhood through engaging storytelling that makes Indian culture meaningful and memorable.
Fun Games – Enjoy a collection of joyful, age-appropriate games designed to encourage participation, movement, laughter and togetherness.
Delicious Prasadam – Savour wholesome, traditional prasadam and experience the spirit of sharing food with gratitude and devotion.
Butter Churning – Experience the playful world of Makhan Chor by trying the traditional art of churning butter in a fun, child-friendly activity.
Caricature – Take home a delightful caricature and a special memory of your Krishna Kids Carnival experience.
